Course Overview
Early in the round at Nile Shrine Golf Course you learn that position matters more than power. The front nine threads short par 4s and compact par 3s between tall trees, then asks for precise approaches into small greens. Water and out of bounds appear in clusters rather than everywhere, which lets you breathe a little when you find the wider corridors.Â
Decision making is the theme. On several holes the best play is lay up off the tee, then flight a wedge beneath the wind. On others, the preferred angle sits to the right side to open a carry over a creek or pond. When you see elevation changes or a three level putting surface, favor the middle of the green. The course rewards ground savvy as much as aerial shots.Â

Dogleg left about 210 yards to the corner. OB left and water right the whole way, mind the overhanging limb on approach. |

Slightly uphill over water. Take an extra club and be alert to road traffic beyond. |

Very long, three tier green among trees. Do not chase a back flag with OB road just steps behind. Middle is smart. |

Keep it in play from the tee. OB left. Deep green invites a bold approach to avoid coming up short. |

Let it fly, but long over this green is trouble. Pin positions can get tricky. |

How to Score Here
-
Keep the headcover on the driver at the opener and play to a favorite wedge yardage to avoid the front bunkers.Â
-
Favor the right side on 8 to unlock the angle across water.Â
-
Take extra club on 13. The elevation and breeze make this the toughest green on the property at Nile Shrine Golf Course.Â
-
On 17, choose enough club to carry the pond, then keep the approach under the hole since the green tilts from back to front.Â
-
When in doubt on the par 3s, play center of the green. Edges bring deep bunkers or steep runoffs.Â
