Course Overview
This is short course golf in a city park, simple lines and clear targets. Every hole is a par 3, most between 60 and 100 yards, with one that stretches a touch longer. The routing fits inside six acres next to the lake, so you are rarely far from the next tee and the pace stays steady. Trees frame several shots and encourage a straight ball that flies the front edge and stops quickly.
What makes the round work is restraint. Pick the club that carries your stock number, aim at the middle, and keep the ball under the hole. The greens are modest and putts are honest, which rewards a controlled flight and a quiet tempo. Ground play can work when turf is firm, but most players will score by landing it near the front and letting the ball release a few paces.
Hole-by-Hole Highlights
• Yardages range from about 60 to 115 yds, so build a plan around two wedges and a putter.
• Stock numbers matter. Know your carry at 70 to 90 yds and pick lines that favor center targets.
• Trees influence a few tee shots. Favor the open side and avoid getting greedy under low branches.
• The longest hole plays near 115 yds. Take the extra club, flight it down, and trust a smooth swing.
• Short is usually safer than long on small greens. Leave uphill putts when you can.
• If turf runs firm, land approaches a few steps on and let them release. When it is soft, fly it pin high.
• Manage pace. Groups move fast here, so be ready to hit and putt out in turn.
• New golfers thrive when they keep the ball in front of them and use bump chips from the collar.
• Confident players can chase aces on the shorter holes, but score comes from stress free pars.
