Rock Island Golf Course brings a fresh 18 to the Wenatchee Valley
A few minutes southeast of East Wenatchee, Rock Island Golf Course stretches across open ground with lakes, mountain views, and new routing work. For decades it was a nine. In 2011 the property grew to a full 18 with added variety and fresh challenges. Today it is public, playable most of the year, and known for a signature hole that tests both nerve and aim

Hole-by-Hole Highlights
-
Hole 13. Signature dogleg with a large water hazard guarding the inside turn. Choose a safe layup or take on the carry. Either way the approach must be precise.Â
-
Water corridors. Several holes play around lakes. Err on the big side of the fairway and keep approaches under the hole.Â
-
Newer holes. The nine added in 2011 bring more variety in length and angles. They also improved the overall flow.
Rock Island Golf Course Overview
Rock Island is straightforward Northwest golf with room to swing and plenty to think about. Fairways move between ponds and small lakes. Greens sit where approach angles matter. The course plays nearly year round thanks to the local climate. There is some variation in published yardage because the layout has been updated, but both sources agree on par 72. From the tips the test is stout. From the forward tees the walk is friendly and the water is still in play. The setting adds to the day. You can see the Wenatchee Valley and the basalt benches beyond. The back nine carries the most buzz because of a risk reward par four that locals point to as the course’s signature.Â

Warm up on the onsite driving range with multiple stations. Practice your putting on the practice green, stock up ath the pro shop, and both men’s and women’s clubs. If you want to warm up properly, the range and putting green are right by the clubhouse.Â

Final Word
Rock Island blends value, views, and a layout that has grown with the game. Nearly year-round play, a true par 72 card, and a memorable 13th make it a solid stop in the Wenatchee Valley.
