Profile
Sunnyside Park Disc Golf threads short hills above Pullman’s pond
Sunnyside Park sits on the west edge of Pullman where rolling lawn meets a spring-fed pond. The layout climbs and drops across small ridges, then dips toward the water before finishing on an open slope. Most fairways run 200 – 340 ft and ask for touch more than power, yet swirling
Palouse wind can turn any shot into an adventure. Every basket is a par 3 except hole 16, a 426-foot downhill leg that plays as the lone par 4 on the Main layout. New concrete tees and donated tee signs, installed with help from the Palouse Disc Golf Club, make navigation simple. A round covers about 1.6 miles and usually takes 70-90 minutes.

Amenities & Practice Facilities at Sunnyside Park Disc Golf Course
A large practice basket stands by the east lot. Restrooms sit between the playground and the pond; a drinking fountain operates in season. Concrete tees, fresh tee signs, and next-tee arrows keep the loop moving. Paths are firm enough for pull carts, though hole 6’s hillside can feel abrupt. Dogs on leash are welcome.Â
Food & Beverage
Downtown Pullman cafés sit five minutes away, so most players pack water and a snack for the round. Make sure you pack out what you bring in.
Rates • Booking • Local Tips
The course is free and first-come. Park gates close at dusk. Afternoon wind is common; stable plastics help on holes 5 and 14 that skirt the pond. In spring the grass grows thick—use bright discs and spotters on blind shots. Snow can linger on shady slopes into early March, but locals shovel tees quickly.
Sunnyside Park Disc Golf Course Final Word
Sunnyside Park delivers classic Palouse disc golf: short hills, lively wind, and forgiving lengths that still punish wild angles. Add new concrete tees and year-round access, and it’s an easy choice for anyone passing through Pullman.
